For professional musician Bryan Honhart, being in front of the camera was familiar. But for the last twelve years, he's been cultivating his love for being on the other side of the lens. In 2000, Bryan began studying film photography and developing his own prints in a dark room. As his music career took off and his band had opportunities to tour the US and Europe, Bryan fell in love with photography and had some of the most gorgeous landscapes on the planet to help him fine-tune his craft.
Transferring to digital photography, it was on tour in Spain, Belgium, Italy and France that Bryan got priceless experience with lighting and scenery, learning how to shoot in order to capture the perfect images.
When life seemed as full as it could have been, Bryan met his other half. Kelly and Bryan have been married since 2008, became parents to their daughter Saylor in 2011, and decided to go into business as a professional photography team that same year. Bryan's vision and skill found their counterpart in Kel's editing and style.
Having a love for each other, their daughter and life in general, Bryan and Kel continue to grow in their love for photographing what matters. The faces of The Black and Hue Project are more than just first-and-second shooters, editors, and business owners. Side by side, Bryan and Kelly Honhart are an unshakeable team ready to create timeless images out of life's important moments.
The Black & Hue Project was such a vital piece to our wedding day. Throughout the planning process they were responsive, involved, flexible, and reassuring. On the day of the wedding, Bryan arrived early and was accommodating to changing schedules. Most importantly to us, he has such a friendly presence. Multiple people asked if we knew Bryan outside of photography, because he was so invested in capturing the day. Bryan knows the impact of his work on the couple, the day, and the guests. He was an important part of the day, and his pictures will only add to the magic he brought to the wedding.

Personable, fun, professional, attentive, creative; honestly, this list could go on and on. During our wedding, Black and Hue went above and beyond their task. Not only did they capture the beginning of our new life together, they did it while providing a harmonious atmosphere for everyone. It was obvious to everyone involved in our special day that Black and Hue were absolutely fantastic. We are blessed to have found The Black and Hue Project and all of the memories they have given us. We can’t imagine our wedding day without Black and Hue and intend on using them throughout our lives together! The Black and Hue Project come with the highest recommendation to anyone looking for one-of-a-kind memories that will last a lifetime!

We absolutely could not have had a better pair photograph our wedding day. Our wedding only included four people so we spent lots of personal time with Kelly and Bryan. It was never awkward or uncomfortable and it was our pleasure to spend the afternoon with them. Bryan and Kelly's strengths complement each other perfectly to make for a phenomenal photography team. Not only did they photograph our day so beautifully, they were a joy to work with and so much fun! We are thrilled to have such quality, creatively done photos to have for the rest of our lives and to share with our families that did not attend. They captured the day perfectly. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

I highly recommend The Black & Hue Project for any type of photography you may need. Both Kelly and Bryan are professional, easy going, and so much fun. Having the life experience of a wedding and young child of their own, these two really know how to create a perfect photo session that is stress free. With Bryan's sweet, laid back personality and Kelly's ever evolving creativeness, they captured the most beautiful and precious moments of our newborn son. The Black & Hue Project offers an affordable way for you to capture life's most amazing times; they are both open to suggestions and give such great direction. I am so thankful that both Bryan and Kelly are so great at what they do. I received our finished pictures so quick and could not pick a favorite, they were all so beautiful. These two are so amazing and they will make sure that you love their work as much as they love doing it!

I loved the Black and Hue Project. They were a very affordable option for me, but still provided the artistic style that I wanted out of my wedding photos. They were very courteous, responsive and clear on what they provided and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. They were everywhere they needed to be on my wedding day without being overbearing or annoying. I've been to so many weddings where the photographers just got in everyone's faces and were distracting. They did not overtake my day and quietly worked in the background just as I wanted. I also did not want 2 hours of group family photos after the ceremony, and they perfectly accommodated our plans for a quick photo session before we arrived at the cocktail party. I have gorgeous photos that they took in 30 minutes or less! One thing my wedding had was a mariachi band at our cocktail hour (we were married on Cinco de Mayo!). We had rented them for one hour only, and when the hour was up, they started to leave. Bryan chased down the band and spoke Spanish to get them to stay just a few more minutes for a fantastic quick photo op. If Bryan hadn't caught up to them, we would have missed the opportunity completely! Black and Hue is friendly, reliable, and flexible. If there is something specific you want (or don't want) at the wedding, they are more than willing to accommodate. They traveled almost 5 hours to photograph my out-of-town wedding. They even had to gently remind me to sign the contract because I had forgotten to send it in with the deposit check! They were very patient and professional the entire time we worked with them, and those are great qualities to have being in the wedding industry! I also really liked getting the photos from them to use however I wanted. I am a graphics designer, so I've had a great time designing photobooks and getting canvasses printed of their photos, and they have all turned out beautifully!

The Black & Hue Project have captured the most important moments of our family's life the past year. They started with a studio maternity session, then an on location maternity session at one of my favorite places in North Florida - St. Mark's Lighthouse. I love that they had great ideas but also let us do some of our quirky meaningful ideas too. They did a fantastic job of making the photo sessions about our family, and not just me or the belly. Even though I felt as unattractive as humanly possible with my swollen body, the pictures were amazing! When our son was born, they captured fantastic moments in the hospital, in our home, and at a park. Since then they've done our son's 6 month pictures at the same park we did his newborn pictures, as well as fantastic 9 month pictures at a pumpkin patch. We can't wait until the holidays and our son's first birthday, when we plan on doing generational pictures back at St. Marks! A full year has gone by, and they've helped us capture it forever. The Black & Hue Project are incredibly talented, fun, and flexible! I proudly display their work in my office, and people always comment on the beauty of the work - I always highly recommend The Black Hue Project! Let them capture your important moments - you will NEVER be disappointed!

We had a wonderfully, stress-free experience with the Black & Hue Project on one of the most important days of our new life together - our wedding day! Bryan and Kelly made it so comfortable and inviting to be a part of the creativity that produces such beautiful pictures. Their process was efficient and affective, and it always felt personal. Even amongst the chaos of a busy day, the Black & Hue Project made us feel at ease. We are so thankful for Bryan and Kelly and what they did for us, and for the memories we now have because of their work! We would certainly recommend them to all our friends and family!
Our first experience with Black and Hue was a family photo session with our 3 year old and 1 year old. With two small toddlers, this typically means a stressful session with a small handful of usable photos. However, Bryan and Kelly masterfully turned it into a fun-filled session with a lot of great pictures! They know just how to get an uncooperative 1 year old to “work with the camera.” They know how to get fantastic shots of a 3 year old who just doesn’t stay still. They know how to make a mother not worry or fret over whether her children are photographically doing what they’re supposed to or not. They are an incredible team oozing with creativity. We will only ever use them for pictures from here on out. I cannot sing their praises enough and encourage everyone I discuss photography sessions with to check out Black and Hue!

The Black and Hue Project is amazing. They are professional, creative, affordable, and fun. Kelly and Bryan did an incredible job on our family shoot. They caught the exact essence of our family on film during our outdoor shoot. Not only was our shoot easy and fun, the spent extra time making sure they got the perfect shot of our little family. They delivered so many perfectly edited that I was unable to pick a favorite. Along with some classic poses, they caught us doing what we do best - playing! The amount of great shots for the price is unbeatable. I plan on using them for everything.
